A CompanyS Current Situation Depends Heavily Upon The

A company s current situation depends heavily upon the strategies used to obtain goals. Businesses that have aspirations should incorporate basic strategies and aggressive approaches to achieve and perform efficiently. The strategies discussed in this paper are in the Walmart Company, founded in 1962 by Sam Walton. Walmart s plans for success evolved over the years while undergoing many modifications based on circumstances and management. Not only was the strategy important but the company s business model as well, which was to generate funds to cover costs while providing services and goods to clients. Walmart has confidence in the services and goods that they provide to the consumer and the lower the price, will not only attract†¦show more content†¦The friendly, helpful staff ensures that each client feels comfortable in the store and the prices are significantly lower for most items. Personally, I dislike placing my items on the checkout bend and pulling items to put in my basket. On several occasions, I have left small items and had to return to the store. Strategies that Fit the Company’s Situation Nonetheless, the strategy which is to satisfy the customer Every Day Low Prices (EDLP), fits the company. This company goes over and beyond to serve the community by providing jobs and benefits. Moreover, Walmart is known as a giving company through the Walmart Foundation, which donated over $200,000 towards the Tornado Relief and Recovery, $250,000 towards Relief and Recovery Efforts in Tennessee Wildfires, Hurricane Relief and Supports Louisiana Flood Relief. Its strategy is well-matched to the company’s internal and external situations: one stop shop. Customers can purchase at most of Walmart’s Stores, which includes Sam’s items such as tires for the automobile, clothing, electronics, jewelry, cosmetics, and medicine in one visit. In a fast-paced society and ever-changing economy, this strategy not only works for the company but the consumer as well. Losing someone who cannot be replaced by anyone else is harder than losing millions of dollars Essay Example For Students

Losing someone who cannot be replaced by anyone else is harder than losing millions of dollars Essay Losing someone who cannot be replaced by anyone else is harder than losing millions of dollars. I have been deep affected by my experiences learning to overcome all of the emotional disturbances, inding that there are things that cannot be forgotten, and gaining knowledge about the uniqueness of the friendship. When my best friend told me that he had lung cancer, my life changed completely. I knew was going to lose him, but I didnt know it would be so hard to overcome the feelings that he left me with. We were friends, not just regular friends, but we were best friends, which explains everything. We would do everything together, such as play soccer, play piano and guitar, walk on the street and act crazy, run away from home and hide somewhere, ditch school and throw a party on Monday. We had the best time together, but unfortunately life took all that from me. Sometimes I ask myself why it had to be him, my best friend, a person who trusted with everything, a person who knew what to do to make me happy, a person who was the best part of my life. He would give everything in order to strengthen our friendship. He was a friend who will always be in my heart. It was the night of April 14, 1999. I will never forget that day. He came to me showered in tears. He looked very sad. Whats going on, why are you so depressed? I asked. Im, Im going, and Im going toà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‚ ¦ He said slowly. He stopped talking, I didnt know what was going on in reality, but he knew it, because within the last couple of months he was having trouble breathing. That didnt bother him much until that moment when he visited a doctor. I looked at his eyes, and I saw his blue colored eyes blurring into shadows of a dream. I understood what was going on, but I didnt cry, because I knew if did, that would really hurt his feelings. I looked at him again and said, Everything will be just fine; you just have to take proper care of yourself. Inside of me, the flame of sadness kept burning and I was barely keeping my tears from falling, but I knew I was strong enough to handle myself. That moment was followed by a joke, which I dont really remember. In order to make him laugh and make his emotions go away, I began telling some really good jokes. He started to laugh very hard, but he coughed too. That was the last time I saw him laughing that hard, that happy, that sad at the same time. On the same night I got a call from him, asking me to go and see him, because he wasnt feeling very well. We were always there for one another, so I went there. He looked all white, and his blue eyes didnt see to be very happy. I was trying to fool myself, and kept repeating in my mind that everything was going to be all right. I couldnt make myself to believe that it was really going to happen. It was 2:30am when he finally told everyone to go and leave the two of us alone. He started talking. I know whats going to happen next, but you dont worryà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‚ ¦ Ill be alright, because God is going to take care of me. And dont be sad. Its not like were not going to see each other again? He asked me to hold his hand hard, and he also told me that our friendship will last forever no matter what happens. He gave me a letter and said, Whenever you feel its time to read this, just open it. I closed my eyes, and within seconds I felt his pulse stop pumping, and a dark cold ran inside of my hands. He just left everything. His blue eyes were already close, and I couldnt do anything else to make them look back at me. At that second I couldnt control myself anymore. The salty tears glided down my face. .u0eab363a8f599aad979ba93752564b24 , .u0eab363a8f599aad979ba93752564b24 .postImageUrl , .u0eab363a8f599aad979ba93752564b24 .centered-text-area { min-height: 80px; position: relative; } .u0eab363a8f599aad979ba93752564b24 , .u0eab363a8f599aad979ba93752564b24:hover , .u0eab363a8f599aad979ba93752564b24:visited , .u0eab363a8f599aad979ba93752564b24:active { border:0!important; } .u0eab363a8f599aad979ba93752564b24 .clearfix:after { content: ""; display: table; clear: both; } .u0eab363a8f599aad979ba93752564b24 { display: block; transition: background-color 250ms; webkit-transition: background-color 250ms; width: 100%; opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #95A5A6; } .u0eab363a8f599aad979ba93752564b24:active , .u0eab363a8f599aad979ba93752564b24:hover { opacity: 1; transition: opacity 250ms; webkit-transition: opacity 250ms; background-color: #2C3E50; } .u0eab363a8f599aad979ba93752564b24 .centered-text-area { width: 100%; position: relative ; } .u0eab363a8f599aad979ba93752564b24 .ctaText { border-bottom: 0 solid #fff; color: #2980B9; font-size: 16px; font-weight: bold; margin: 0; padding: 0; text-decoration: underline; } .u0eab363a8f599aad979ba93752564b24 .postTitle { color: #FFFFFF; font-size: 16px; font-weight: 600; margin: 0; padding: 0; width: 100%; } .u0eab363a8f599aad979ba93752564b24 .ctaButton { background-color: #7F8C8D!important; color: #2980B9; border: none; border-radius: 3px; box-shadow: none; font-size: 14px; font-weight: bold; line-height: 26px; moz-border-radius: 3px; text-align: center; text-decoration: none; text-shadow: none; width: 80px; min-height: 80px; background: url(https://artscolumbia.org/wp-content/plugins/intelly-related-posts/assets/images/simple-arrow.png)no-repeat; position: absolute; right: 0; top: 0; } .u0eab363a8f599aad979ba93752564b24:hover .ctaButton { background-color: #34495E!important; } .u0eab363a8f599aad979ba93752564b24 .centered-text { display: table; height: 80px; padding-left : 18px; top: 0; } .u0eab363a8f599aad979ba93752564b24 .u0eab363a8f599aad979ba93752564b24-content { display: table-cell; margin: 0; padding: 0; padding-right: 108px; position: relative; vertical-align: middle; width: 100%; } .u0eab363a8f599aad979ba93752564b24:after { content: ""; display: block; clear: both; } READ: Effectiveness Of Computer Assisted Audit Techniques Accounting EssayI didnt talk. I just went crazy and I started screaming, but I didnt say a word. I became crazy. I couldnt breath, because he was the air I was breathing, he was the happiness that was keeping me alive, he was the friend that I respected more tan a brother, more than anybody else. And now hes not there anymore, hes gone. Its just the letter and meà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‚ ¦ Two weeks had passed after his death, and I was still depressed, angry, sick, and almost lifeless. I couldnt understand what was going on around me. Everything was an illusion. I wasnt eating, drinking, nor doing anything. For twenty-four hours I was lying on my bed, thinking about what am I going to do. I couldnt talk to anyone, because I didnt want to. I wanted to be alone all day, remember the good times we had. And I finally decided to open the letter he gave me. IN the letter he said, Dont be silly and dont cry. I know how you fee, but you know what, youre life is not over yes. You have to understand that life is tough, and you just have to get used to it, fight it, and get whatever you want. I know that life is beautiful, and I only had a short time to experience it. You got to get yourself ready to continue your life, because only than I can look down at you with pride. You have to understand the fact that youre the person who makes everyone smile, you share their problems, understand, ad love. You have to be yourself. I will miss you, and I know you wont forget meà ¢Ã¢â€š ¬Ã‚ ¦ I guess this is goodbye, but I dont want to say that, Ill just say Ill see you later bro. heart filled with lightness. The idea of continuing my life, as he had said, gave me the power to start everything from the beginning. I learned many lessons from this event. For instance, that true friends can never be replaced by anyone else, and theyre never forgotten. I understood that the friendship is a gift, and nothing in the world can come between real friendship. Yes, I had a lot of emotional disturbances within myself, but at the end, I actually understood that everything happens for a reason. I have accepted the fact that my friend is not with me anymore, but Im sure that he will always live inside of me. As long as hes in my memories, hes part of me, and I take his presence as a source of pride.

Crime Is on Increase Essay Example

Crime Is on Increase Essay Crime is on increase Unorganized society commonly caused by many reasons especially the vandalism that leads to unexpected crimes. As we know that, the number of crime committed is increasing day by day while there are also the varieties of its consequences as well as the solutions. In the next paragraphs, both causes and effects of crime will be discussed after one anther which will also be followed by the beneficial solutions. One of the causes of crime is the poor parenting skill which simply refers to the dysfunction of the family; divorce is the best match example that most of the children will definitely bring their feedback after its occurrence. By doing so, they will easily become the victim and thus commit the crime immediately. Similarly, fatherlessness also contributes to criminal activities after one has withdrawn oneself from the others or accidentally taken up with gangsters. Usually, they start either being absent or dropping out of school clustering their own friends into a small group and end up doing something for fun; the reasons behind their reaction is because of the ignorance of the parents toward them, so they will be automatically upset sometimes even lonely that they had to hang out with friends in order to get rid of boredom. Another significant cause that cannot be blamed for is the poverty throughout their whole life. No matter how many bad things they have done, they will try their best to earn the money for their own sake to put themselves equal as the people surrounded them for both position and wealth. Therefore, they will happily enjoy their life which has always been praying for. Yet all they have to do to be rich in a blink of an eye; for instance, a drug seller whose job is to sell the illegal drug for addictive gangsters. If one refuses to get involved in such a business, possibly means that he or she is trying to drive the luck away and having no interest in searching for a good chance to be the well-off person. There are even much more causes of crime which occurred daily while there are also many solutions at the same time. Firstly, there should be a reformation of the system especially education must be put on the first hand due to the fact that it helps people gaining knowledge for making better decision. Once education has been improved, there will be the varieties of employment provided by the local firms; searching for the qualified candidates to be the permanent member of its business activities. Hence, higher salary will be provided without hesitation if that candidate is the right person for recruitment; in addition, he or she is able to improve their living standard by having not only the money to get what they want, but also the reputation of being the rich. The last solution to deals with criminal activities is the punishment which is strengthened by law to scare away those who love committing crimes. The more criminal activities they have done, the more serious punishment they will get. In this case, it includes two different kind of punishments such as: the less serious punishment is to fine the money which is the law set by the local government, the more serious punishment is to sentence in prison many years according to the degree of how serious the crime is. With these solutions, there will be the automatic reduction of crime rate for sure. In conclusion, problem will be solved after its solutions have already found and used. Just like a quote says God never created a lock without its fixed keys. Solving problem is far different from taking an exam, taking exam, students need to complete the space where answers are required unless they know nothing, whereas you have to be flexible to deal with the problem confidentially and of course cannot skip any tasks at all; otherwise, something bad will happen continuously after one another.

Bonny Lee Bakley, Murdered Wife of Actor Robert Blake

Bonny Lee Bakley, Murdered Wife of Actor Robert Blake Bonny Lee Bakley was not a good girl. She was a con artist who used sex and deception to bilk men- many of the rich and famous- out of their money, and their children out of their inheritance. She was shot to death in May 2001 and her husband at the time, actor Robert Blake, was charged with the crime. Still, there was a long list of other people with a motive. Bakleys Childhood Years Bonny Lee Bakley was born June 7, 1956 in Morristown, New Jersey. As a young girl, her dreams were similar to others her age, to one day become rich and famous. Perhaps her impoverished home helped to drive these fantasies. Or, perhaps the desire to leave her hometown and begin her road to stardom grew deeper after she suffered from sexual abuse by her father. Whatever the cause, her drive for stardom became a blind obsession. Marriage for Profit It is believed that Bakley felt ostracized as a child for being poor. She grew to be an attractive teen. She decided to try modeling, and she signed on with a nearby agency. Through the agency, she met an immigrant named Evangelos Paulakis, who was desperate to stay in the U.S. and needed to get married  to do so. Bakley agreed to marry him for a price, but not long after the two shared I dos, Bakley, with the money safely tucked away, ended the marriage, and Paulakis was picked by the authorities and deported. After high school, Bakley headed to New York to begin her climb to stardom. She started calling herself Lee Bonny. She managed to get various small modeling jobs, and even worked as an extra in a few movies. But her goal of becoming a star was not  happening. So, she set her attention on other ways to achieve, if not stardom, the fortune that came with it. Her focus switched from becoming a star to marrying one. Bakleys Sex Scam Business In her mid-twenties, Bakley married her cousin, Paul Gawron, a laborer who was street tough and prone to violent behavior. They had two children who Gawron mainly cared for while Bakley worked toward her new endeavor, a mail-order business that focused on scamming lonely men out of money. Had Bakley not chosen a less-than-desirable avenue, her  entrepreneurial  spirit mixed with her ability to market, organize, and profit in a highly competitive industry could have been admirable. Gawron and Bakley had a twisted and volatile marriage. Bakley, who was busy scamming money from men, sometimes in the couples bedroom, was satisfied to let Gawron stay home. He seemed to enjoy not having to work. But, by 1982, the marriage ended. Bakleys obsession to be in the inner circles of the famous mixed with the fact that she was not getting any younger. This motivated her decision to leave her kids in Gawrons care and head to Memphis, Tennessee, to the door of musical artist, Jerry Lee Lewis. Bakley Stalks Jerry Lee Lewis Bakleys money-making sex schemes coupled with her use of stolen credit cards and identification kept her mobile, and she was able to fly to locations where Jerry Lee Lewis was performing. Bordering stalking, Bakley  would often crash parties and show up at performances just to get in closer to Lewis. Finally, the two met around 1982, and a friendship developed. Jerry Lee Lewis and Bakley remained friends until Bakley became pregnant and told everyone that the childs father was Jerry Lee Lewis and that he was leaving his wife to marry her. When the child was born, Bakley named her  Jerry Lee and put on the birth certificate, father undetermined. The friendship between Lewis and Bakley ended and baby Jerry Lee was sent to live with Bakleys ex-husband and her other children. Later it was discovered that Bakley made death threats against Lewiss wife. Bakleys Anything Goes Policy Bakleys address book filled up with names, some famous and some just rich. Names such as Robert DeNiro, Sugar Ray Leonard, and Jimmy Swaggart were found among the list. Bakleys sex business became bolder, and she advertised in sex magazines that she was a tri-sexual, meaning she would try anything once and her preference was sadomasochism, couples sex, and bisexuality. She swindled men out of hundreds of thousands of dollars with her anything goes claims. Bakley was arrested for trying to write bad checks to the tune of $200,000 and was sentenced to report to a penal farm on weekends for three years. In Arkansas, she was arrested for carrying more than 30 fake identifications and was placed on probation. When she completed her sentence in Tennessee, and her friendship with Lewis was over, she decided it was time to leave the South, and she headed to the land of fame and stardom- Hollywood. Bakley and Robert Blake Tie the Knot Bonny continued running  sex scams in magazines, and dating a few stars, one being Christian Brando. How she and Baretta star Robert Blake met, depends on who you ask. Bakleys sister said they met at a jazz club and bonded from across the room. Blakes attorney said Robert Blake did not even know her name and they had sex in the back of a truck, never in his home. Whatever is the truth, one thing was for certain; it was not a match made in heaven. Shortly after the affair began, Bakley told Blake that she was pregnant. Sources say Bakley was taking fertility pills as a way to trap the star into her web. When the baby was born, she named her  Christian Shannon Brando and listed Brando as the father. A  paternity test later proved the father to be Blake. Bonny Lee and Robert Blake married in November 2000, and Bonny moved into a guest house on the property. Bakleys Murder After only six months of marriage, in May 2001, Blake and Bakley went to dinner at Vitellos Italian Restaurant, where Blake was a regular customer. After dinner, the two walked to their car. According to Blake, he realized he left his revolver at the restaurant and left to retrieve it. When he returned to the car, he found Bakley with a gunshot wound to her head, dying in the front seat. Blake ran for help, but Bakley soon died. After a year of investigations, Blake was arrested and charged with the murder of Bonny Lee Bakley. On March 15, 2005, a jury of seven women and five men deliberated for more than 36 hours before returning a verdict of not guilty in the murder of his wife and not guilty on one count of soliciting someone to murder her.   Although acquitted in criminal court, the Baretta star was not so lucky in civil court, where a verdict does not need to be unanimous.  A civil jury decided 10 to 2 that  the tough-guy actor was behind the slaying and ordered him to pay Bonny Lee Bakley’s four children $30 million. Aviation safety and human factors Essay Example | Topics and Well Written Essays - 250 words

Aviation safety and human factors - Essay Example This research will begin with the statement that the aviation industry is one of the most important industries in today’s times. Aviation safety is the responsibility of not just one person or one group it encompasses everyone from the manufacturers to the pilots and even to fliers. Therefore, one might say that one of the major factors controlling safety in the sky is human factors. Research has shown that 50% of all aviation mishaps are caused by human factors. One of the most important human factors in aviation is that of decision making and communication. One of the most important controllers of safety is the pilot. Even minor mistakes such missing a problem indication, misreading signs or making judgmental errors made by the pilot could lead to crashes and accidents. Improper decision making on the part of the pilots could be because of improper sleep, lack of concentration and fatigue.   According to a study in China lack of proper aviation safety training in Chinese p ilots was a major cause of aviation accidents that took place between 1999-2002. This lead to crashes owing to reasons such as overrunning, engine strike, ground object impact and mountain collision, all of which were caused by human factors. NASA Aviation Safety reporting system reported that between 1976 and 1983 35000 aviation accidents were caused by conflicts among aircrafts. This primarily happens through human factors such as failure to control traffic in the skies and failure to send signals to the pilots in time.

How has globalization (or regionalisation) impacted public policy Essay

How has globalization (or regionalisation) impacted public policy formulation and implementation in Canada - Essay Example The positive side of globalisation is that it has provided opportunities for streamlining of public policies with the international standards. Technology has become an important tool for implementation of public policies as the government has an efficient platform to communicate and roll out their public policies. While Canada has come under spot for failing to face globalisatio head on, there is evidence that many changes have come up due to the new era. Therefore, it is clear that globalisation has had both negative and positive impacts in the development and implementation of public policies. One impact of globalisation is that it came about with social transformation within the country. The era of internationalisation saw many people move from one region to the other in search for a living or for economic reasons. The result was the formation of a diverse population that demanded new public policies to govern. The employment sector in Canada is one of the areas that experienced as people of different races, culture, religion and color filled the labor market raising a number of issues. The gender-wage gap in particular became a serious issue for Canada as result of globalisation. The gender wage gap in Canada has been a controversial issue since early 1980s when this difference was noted. Cornish and Faraday (2008) noted that women salary for equal position in Ontario is 29% below that of women indicating a wide salary gap across the gender boundaries. A close look at the wage gap trends indicates that there has only been slight improvement in the last 25 years despite the numerous efforts to close this gap. In 1987, before the emergence of wage gap activists, the wage gap was approximately 37% in Ontario. These trends indicate that the efforts to bring down the gap have been undermined and the gap remains wide. Cornish (2009) points out the wage gap has affected aboriginal women who have migrated to Ontario in search for a job. This trend in

satire 1984 Essay Example for Free

satire 1984 Essay In Nineteen Eighty-four, George Orwell introduces Communism regime through the community of Oceania. Communism is a socioeconomic structure and political ideology that promotes the establishment of an egalitarian, classless, stateless society, and single party control (Wikipedia). Most of party members are proles, working class. They are uneducated and unaware of what is happening; thus they are completely under the Partys control. Therefore, the party then can remove any possibilities of rebellion. Through the novel, Orwell uses satire to warn us about surveillance, physical and psychological intimidation, and isolation. Satire, a mode of writing that exposes the failings of individuals, institutions, or societies to ridicule and scorn. Satire is often an incidental element in literary works that may not be wholly satirical, especially in comedy (answers). Orwell, through the characters, predicts what our future will be like if the totalitarian regime remained in power. SURVEILLANCE: Winston Smith, the main character in the novel, is somehow different than other characters, even though he is a Party member. Since Winston is an intellectual man, he is able to discern the truth from the falsehood; thus he stands against the Party. He resists the party, resists the stifling in his life of being controlled. George Orwell satirizes the surveillance through these facts.   He dreams about a girl ripping off her clothes. It represents the idea of throwing away the shackles that are imposed by the Party and Big Brother.   He writes down with Big Brother in his diary. Now he commits thoughtcrime that he will be captured by the thought police sooner or later.   Telescreens and portraits of Big Brother are everywhere; therefore, it is impossible to not being heard and seen. Party can check on citizens whenever and wherever, since each individual is coded: Smith! screamed the shrewish voice from the telescreen. 6079 Smith W! Yes, you! Bend lower please! You can do better than that (1,3,39) . No one is able to betray the Party. BIG BROTHER IS WATCHING YOU There is no freedom of speech in community of Oceania. An example to this fact is Winston. He is incapable of expressing his personal ideas about the Party. Moreover, Winston is unable to quit his job when he does not like it, and he is not allowed to keep any personal documents. George Orwell is clearly worried about our lack of privacy. Orwell predicts that our future will be governed by one ruler and that one ruler will watch every move we make. He worries about the future where we do not have freedoms. For example is freedom of speech which is impossible in some communism country. Physical, psychological intimidation and manipulation Through the main characters in the novel, George Orwell satirizes the physical, psychological intimidation, and manipulation of nazi regime and the Russian revolution. In the society of Oceania love, sex, joy, happiness, personal documents, thoughts, etc, are completely forbidden. The Morning exercise is a good example for physical manipulation. Winston lives in the world in which legitimate optimism is impossible because he is always being controlled by the thought police.   Moreover, anyone who betrays the Party will be vaporized and their files will be rewritten, that is Winstons job to rewrite historical documents. They never existed and will never exist. In nineteen eighty-four, there should be no religion but the idea of Sacred Leader. Since, Winston writes down God is power( he is tortured again. On the other hand, Big Brother represents god; everyone worships him. In the beginning of the novel, the two minutes hate is introduced to the reader, which is somehow a public worship of Big Brother.   George Orwell also explores the use of language to control peoples mind and thoughts. Dont you see that the whole aim of Newspeak is to narrow the range of thoughts? In the end it will make thoughtcrime impossible, because there will be no words in which to express (1,5,55) 2+2=5 is a symbol of manipulation of science. The Party has the power to control everything even science. The truth is wrong when the Party says it wrong   Sexual life is totally forbidden under the Partys control. Winstons wife considers sex as a duty for a Party. She does not get any pleasure out of it.   Julia, a young apathetic and rebellious girl, grows up under the Party regime. The society that she lives in is based on suspicion, spying, fear, hatred and intimidation. Julia obeys the Party but she does not believe in it, but she is way different from her lover Winston. Julia is somewhat selfish. She is interested in rebelling only for the pressures to be gained. Whereas Winston is fatalistic concerned about large-scale social issues, Julia is pragmatic and content live in the moment that makes the best for her life. Junior Spy is a symbol of educational manipulation in which very young children are brainwashed to embrace the Partys ideas. There are a lot of similarities between the Hitler Youth and Oceanias youth. The kids are taught to ferret out disloyal members and denounce anyone who criticizes the Party or Big Brother even their own parents. In the beginning of the novel, when Winston meets the Parsons Kids; they are dressed in the uniform of the Spies with a tough looking. Suddenly they leap around him shouting traitor. Later on, Mr. Parsons, Winstons comrade, gets caught because his little daughter listens at the keyhole and hears he sleeptalks Down with Big Brother. The two Parsons Kids beg their parents for take them to see the hanging. Activities for boys include War game which intends to toughen them up. In a few years they will hold real weapons not riffle toys.   In the beginning of the novel, OBrien appears as a rebellious man who Winston suspects of him secretly opposing the Party. In fact, he is a powerful member of inner Party, and he tricks Winston into believing that he is a member of a revolution group called Brotherhood. Later, OBrien appears in Winstons jail cell as a party member to abuse and brainwash disloyal Winston. He admits that he pretended to be connected to the Brotherhood merely to trap Winston. In the end, OBrien successfully changes Winstons feeling toward Big Brother from hate to love. Orwell is again scared of physical and mind manipulation. He is worried that people will be control physically by propaganda, for example Junior Spy in the novel or the Physical Jerk. Moreover, Orwell predicts about how people are brainwashed by the Party, and his predictions come true. Nowadays, in some communism countries, for example Vietnam, every Party member are not allowed have religion, and then they will love the party most. ISOLATION: Through the character Winston and Goldstein, Orwell satires the isolation in human nature and totalitarianism society.   Isolation appears often in the novel. Winston lives alone at his house with no companionship except the surveillance cameras and the telescreens. He has a world of his own only in his head. He cant have a social life because the party forbids any means of social communication. He writes in his diary because that is his only way of expressing his feelings and thoughts even though its considered thoughtcrime. Every person in the novel is isolated from the community; they can not have any open conversation with themselves. Goldstein represents Trotsky in real life. He stands against the party thus he is expelled from the party and sent out of the country. After Goldstein becomes a scapegoat of the Party, and he is brought up in Two Minutes Hate. George Orwell brings up the idea of isolation in the novel. He is afraid that the next generation will have the isolated life if the totalitarianism regime remains.
